So, i traded a 2003 fuji digital camera (costed something like 400 USD when i bought it, selling price today, maybe 30 USD) for a Olympus 35 SPn, both where very happy with the trade.

It had some issues, the rangefinder was pretty far off, so i opened it up and pretty soon found the alignment screw, it was a really easy fix.

The meter works just fine, it is very consistent with my Voigtländer VC meter, the spot meter also works fine. When shooting 100 ASA i have to set the ASA dial to 50, but that is nothing i want to fix, instead of the 25-800 span I now have a 50-1600 span and in my world that is much better. I shoot mainly Provia 100 & 400 and Trix @ 400 or 1600.

So this weekend i will take it for a spin. The shutter seems to be good at all speeds. I sure hope i'm right.

I have looked at a couple of threads about lens hoods and right now I'm thinking about the vented 49mm screw in on ebay, anybody tried it? Will it block much of the viewfinder?

Congrats on the SPn!

I'm using a vented hood from eBay. Unfortunately the vents aren't aligned for the SP so when it's screwed on tight all I see is the unvented part of the hood blocking a small portion of the viewfinder.
