Hi everyone
I have that itch to try that lens but its apparent size is a deterrent (along with the price if I don't like it)
Unfortunately I can't try it in flesh, and I find only few pictures of it it on a film M body, and even less videos.

would someone here who owns it would be kind enough to show pictures of it, maybe compared with other lenses on the larger side of the range?
Maybe a shot through the finder to see how bad is the blockage?
a short vid would also be great!

Thanks!! 🙂

I've found comparisons to lenses I have handled - ergonomics that are familiar - the best predictor. What lenses have you used that are larger? Or had good/bad ergonomics?

I had the Nokton 35 1.2 II and found it too heavy for my taste.
I didn't like the size, but the weight was more a problem (and my difficulties to focus it accurately)
[Edit] I have the Hexanon 90mm 2.8 which is a tad (0.5 cm) longer, and just 50g lighter. It's thinner though...

Michael, I have the lens, and a few other 35mm's like the pre-asph lux, 2nd vesion cron, and some others and this zeiss is very large and heavy compared to all (of course). It is quite different in feel than the 90 M-hex which I also have. The 90 is lighter and slimmer and feels very good on the camera. The zeiss is really much more comparable the the VC 1.2 and 1.1 than any of the mentioned lenses. All that being said, it is spectacular in the image quality department. Best of both worlds is to have a small Leica 35mm like the cron or pre-asph lux and this lens, then if you want to go light and small you can. I don't think you still live in Ann Arbor but if you do maybe I can arrange for you to see it in person. Bob in Michigan.

Hey Bob. Thanks for the details, and the offer.
Unfortunately we are missing Ann Arbor since 2010 ;-)
