I wear eyeglasses and, try as I might, I cannot see the 35mm bright lines in my Canon P. So, I decided to try the 35mm view finder from Metro Case. The 3D printed housing from Shapeway is $17.50 for the housing base and $12.50 for the snap on top plus postage. A Canon Snappy Owl parts camera set me back $1.49 plus postage on ebay. I removed 5 small screws and popped the top off the camera with a pocket knife. This exposed the three elements of the viewfinder. A quick wipe down with a microfiber cloth and insert them into the base. Then pop the top on, which locks snugly into place so be sure to get them in the right order before clicking it down tight. The result is, in my opinion, the best value for a 35mm viewfinder out there. It is large, bright, clear I can see all the lines at once. I have owned a Canon P, a Canon 7, a Canon VL1, Soviet KMZ 35mm finder, KMZ turret finder and Tewe multi finder. The Metro case is, at least for me, the easiest of all of them to see through.

Anybody looking for an inexpensive 35mm finder should consider trying one.
