Recently put a roll of Kodak Panatomic-X 32iso flim thru my canon 7 and 50/0.95. Thought I'd share some of the cool results! Interestingly, on many of the photos there is light vignetting, could it be from the filter? I believe I had on my Hoya ND8 ultra thin to allow me to shoot wide open for the 1st, 3rd, and 4th photos, the 2nd was with a heliopan UV HMC filter.

No, I think the vignetting you have shown is about what I expect to see with this lens, with or without a filter. But, compared to some other ultra-fast lenses the Canon 0.95 shows relatively little vignetting.

I think John is right...

After looking closer at the shots I think they do look comparable to mine. It was the first very bright scene that threw me off. You barely see it in the other shots (though I wonder what happened with that 2nd one!)

The narrow depth of field, the vignetting, and the film together give the pictures -- especially the first and the third -- the feel of large-format shots, which is quite unusual in a 35mm format. (Perhaps the aberrations at the edge of the field contribute a little to this impression as well.)

I like the white cat on the gray rocks very much!

I get almost no vignetting with a ND filter - but a hood is a different story. Did you have a hood on it?
Nope, no hood.. so yeah I am sorta baffled. Don't mind it though, I do have a thing for vignetting anyhow. 🙂

Hahaa yeah the 2nd was the end of the roll. 😉 Loved the irony of that and the auto parts store in the bg..

nice, in some way alot of them have that Diana camera look to them.
Diana huh? interesting!

I'm not familiar with large format so it is interesting to hear that, thank you! Hehe yes that sneaky cat actually lived in the rocks I think!

Thanks all for your comments!
