50 1.8 on my M3?

ok so I picked up a 50 1.8 to go on my new M3. with the adaptor the lens ends up looking like this. the aperture selection dot is slightly off to the left. is this correct? it seems it has to be like this if the lens is to be propery secured to the camera?

My Canon 50/1.4 on my M3 or MP lines up the same way as your 50/1.8.

I'm using this same combo, except chrome 50 f1.8 and
I got my adapter Saturday and it lined up just the same way.
Have not had much time to shoot yet, but think I'm
going to like this combo as well as my 50 Summicron DR

When the lens is pointing at you, the depth of field scale on the base of the lens should be at the 1 o'clock position. So it's normal and don't try to get it adjusted.
