50 on an r4?

Umm, no, I don't think mine will ever see a 50. Tiny tiny framelines, like the 90s in an R2 or M. I would think the EBL will be an issue with anything but a slow 50 too. Just a guess.

I have taken a couple of shots with the CV 50/1.5 and a J8. If I were going to include a 50 in my R4 kit, it would be a small on like the CV 50/2.5 Color Skopar. For the most part, the 50/1.5 and 75/2.5 will be used with my R3A. When I grab the R4, the lens I am most likely to take is the CV 28/3.5. I really like that lens! I will post a few shots when I get my scanner sorted out.

I am happy with a 50 on the R4 for scenics to maybe 20 feet

but the R4 would not be my 1st choice to accurately focus a 50 at f/2 or wider close up --

unless of course I simply didn't have another camera with me at the time.

i'm thinking of getting the tiny cv 50/2.5 along with the new cv 25 so i'd have a lens for every frameline.
the more i use the r4m the more i like it.

Makes total sense. Go for it. :D

No one is using 50mm on the R4, so is there anyone who has experience using a 40 Nokton on a R4? I have a R4 and a 28mm.

I'm considering between the 50mm and the 40mm for my next purchase. Thanks
