For those interested, todays edition of the Uk mag 'Amateur Photographer' is a sort of tribute edition celebrating 50 years of the 'M' models all of which are reviewed/featured in excellent articles and pix. Also great collection of images by the worlds top Leica exponents of the last half century,...and chance to win unique 'AP' commemorative (125 years) 'M' model with red leather and inscription.

Amongst all this there is a small 'progress report' on the digital 'M',....features are now considerably different to those being alleged at the Uk 'Focus' show in February by Leica marketing team. The "full size chip" has now shrunk to that requiring a lens adjustment of 1.37X,...thus rendering the 21mm as a 28mm in 35mm terms. pixel count will be 10 mil. However, there will not be a 'digital lens range' because one of the Leica techies is quoted as saying that this is not neccassary since all the existing glass has sufficient rear element coating to defeat the "light reflected by modern sensors"
