Hey, how come every guy with access to a CNC machine or with a cousin who owns a plastics factory in Hongju is marketing wide angle rear Contax lens caps but NO ONE is selling a cheap cap for 50's? Where is the love?

I use the caps from medicine bottles on mine. Works Perfectly, and my medical insurance covers the cost.

I'm amazed that there is actually no cheap source for these; I had assumed that, with most things, I was just ignorant of the marketplace. Wow.

nobby sparrow or something like that on ebay. I bought a couple, just a loose friction fit. But they did the job (for 50mm lenses not the external bayonet lenses).

There is also an eBay seller who makes plastic caps that fit internal mount 50 mm/5 cm Sonnars and goes by the name of Zeissman. I ordered some, and they fit tightly on post war Sonnars and a pre war collapsible Sonnar. The cost is reasonable (a lot less than $80) and my order came quickly. I'm not related, just a satisfied customer.
