these photos are the low_res images from a test roll using 4 lenses, a 40mm rokkor 40 at f2, and 4 fsu lenses (I-22, I-50, J-8, and I-61 -- not in that order for those who like to guess).

film plane was 1.2 meters back from the "OCD" pedal and arrowhead water bottle to the left. Most other objects are at a known distance from film plane.

Exposure was wide open, or opened one extra stop on some. Film was Fuji Superia 400. Camera back was Leica CL on a tripod. Shutter speeds were either 1/60 or 1/125.

All lenses were set at the 1.2 meter mark, for one of the lenses, all photos are OOF, which makes me wonder if either the indexing is off at 1.2m, or if I remembered to fully uncollapse it ... All fsu lenses used the same screw to M adapter.

I thought that the FSU lenses had a different register than LTM lenses of the same genre. This difference is supposed to show up at close focus and wide open when used on a leica. It would be interesting, to me at least, to see the same test on an FSU body.

Intereresting, not sure.

Am simply using a generic 35/90 LTM to M adapter on the CL, and the J8, I-22, and I-62 all focus close at 1.2m. It's my I-50 that is off the scale at 1.2m (again, unless I forgot to uncollapse it before the shots :bang: )

I'd feel comfortable scale focusing the J8, I-22, and I-61 on the CL, at least at 1.2m, have to see what's up with the I-50, which focuses great at longer distances with same adapter (don't recall if wide open or stopped down though).
