In the late 60's a friend of mine had a 35mm Minolta rangefinder with a 50mm (I think) fixed collapsable lens, and a leaf shutter (I think).

It wasn't Leica grade, but was of solid metal contruction and reeked of quality. It was a true pocket camera.

Anybody know what I'm talking about?

I did a bit of research ande it appears that:

a) it was interchangeable Leica screwmount, NOT fixed lens and

b) not a leaf shutter but a Leica style focal plane.

So there are TWO errors in my original post!!!!

So much for 35 year old memories!!!!!!

Taffer,

I think it was the 35 I design that I remember.

Hey, dont tempt me like THAT !
