Any thoughts on the 90 on a Ikon? How is the focusing? Is this a territory best left to the SLR? Any thoughts on the Canada version of this lens?
Thanks (again) in advance.

it should focus easily on the zi which has a long ebl.
many do not like any lens over 50 on a rf but then many do.

I've used the 2.0/90 Apo-ASPH Summicron quite a bit on the ZI with very good results. The ZI focuses the lens without difficulty, and I have not had a problem using the 85mm framelines of the ZI to compose shots with the 90mm lens. In fact, I've gotten pretty good results using the 135mm apo-Telyt on the ZI, though that lens does require an accesory viewfinder for composition.
So go for it.

Works fine and the 85mm frame lines on the ZI were identical to the 90mm lines on my MP. For comparisons of other viewfinder frame lines see

Works great on mine. Not a problem. Although I'm considering selling it because I just don't use it that often. But when I do the results are usually much better than I expect.

Short teles are great and many, many classic RF photos have been taken with them.
The 90/2 is great value (actually got cheaper with the M8) and should work fine on the ZI.
