A Bessa L Review...sort of

It's really too bad that these are discontinued 🙁
Too bad indeed, there's hardly anything that can beat the elegance of the CV25, focus guesstimation and a compact camera body. It's photography in it's most essential form.

Liked your pictures by the way, great capture of the atmosphere!

Interesting review Brian. Enjoyied the photos. It's amazing the fun one can have from the bessa L. I like mine and it's been a great learning tool for me. I just signed up on the CV forum site. Looks great.

Brian, I'll be honest in saying I've never seen your pictures before; but they won't be pictures I'll soon forget. The contrast and grain are incredibly unique, and add immensly to the atmosphere inherent within an airport (atleast to me).

Fantastic job, and the story only helps.

Thanks so much for the kind words, erik 🙂

great photos and full agreement with your review. i have only purchased the bessa L a few months ago for $85 "buy it now" price on ebay. it was fully accessorized with jupiter 50mm lens, voigtlander grip and domke strap. have since attached a cv25 skopar and haven't looked back. pictures look amazing and great placement of the meter. i'm glad i didn't spend extra $$ on bessa t.

I've also just recently purchased the same outfit (L plus CV 25/4) on ebay for only 255 Euros. Have already gone through 3 films and am very satisfied. The L really is the option for fully manual wide lens photography!
