Thanks for this positive feedback.
M9 sensor issue was kind of an internal wake up call for most people at Leica. Being a beloved and respected brand is something we need to regain every single day again. With this we now focus on other areas that we need and want to improve.
The message sounds positive to me.

Congrats with your ability to get something out of CEO's and academics, even with those of questionable repute. This said, the lines you got back much sound like marketing speak to me. ''Other areas we need and want to improve". We will need a marketing factotum to translate that into English.

I have never been a CEO before, but maybe these highly ranked officials talk this way.

All CEO's seem to get a super goodbye bonus one day.

I must admit, the Leica CEO job must be a special one: to understand the rangefinder community, which is small, impossible to please and shrinking, and at the same time entering markets that will guarantee high profitability.

The current Leica CEO used to be the Leica VP for Finance. Maybe this is why he was promoted to CEO.
