Well, for those of you that remember, I stopped having dreams about Leicas...I did had one more about a IIIc a week later after the M4-P one though...

Anywho, so I went to a hockey game tonight. I took my 10D with a tele lens, my Elan7e with my 50mm, and my Kiev 4am with my 35/2.8 Jupiter 12. Other than an initial metering, I only used my Kiev and Tri-X pushed to 1600.

Is this a good sign, where I can cart around $2500 in SLRs and just use a $40 rangefinder instead, or am I hopelessly addicted?

I wish my camera had had it's leather half-case on it, and the viewfinder had 35mm brightlines in it...and the knob wid didn't hurt my thumb so much...and the rewind krank wasn't such a joke (I feel like I'm going to break the darn thing)... but other than that, I was pretty happy, and I have some nice shots of some defenders eating the plexiglass😀.

Oh well, goodnight, and thanks for reading,
Bob Clark

Maybe you need a girlfriend? Or trade in the old model for a newer one? 😎

You must have had pretty good seats, Bob 😉

I agree, let's see 'em!

You lost me there. You sure you're posting on the right thread? 😉

That's what my friend's keep telling me 😀...

As for the game, we're just a Div. III school, so I got to freeze my feet on the run-off ice and rest my camera on the ledge of the plexiglass barrier when I needed to warm my hands. I was shooting at 1/125th and f/8 with some good old fashioned zone focusing. I love small colleges🙂 Tough game...the final goal in overtime wasn't actually in (IMO), so it should have been a tie, but nooo...they just give it to the other team...grr...As soon as I get a chance I'll scan my shots, so don't you worry your little heads...besides, there's another game tomorrow night as well. Maybe I'll leave the SLRs at home next time.

Oh, btw, I think the best RF for me would be a Bessa R2 with a 35mm lens... M mount, so (with adapters) I can use all sorts of fun LTM and M glass on it, and it would meet my needs and price range. Hmm..."All I want for Christmas is..."

Oh well...now I'm going to bed...

Are we talking women's field hockey here, or that lame ice hockey I hear about now and then? 😛 If the latter, forget about the photos. (Just kidding!)

I'd say you chose the appropriate tool for the job at hand.
