A green M3, why no one interested?

Why no one interested? Unfortunately my pocket is out of $.

I swear I saw one like this one sell last week for less than $400! I even thought about placing a bid! 😱

And then... what would I do with a green camera?

granted, he does say it was CLA'd. but not by whom.

Sweet color, actually. Like a little hand held army tank that takes pictures.

Price is a little high. Like at least $300 high.

Wonder if this seller knows they have conversations about them in little forums full of obsessed RF users.

Well, think of it this way... if you were to buy a straight and clean M3 in need of a CLA, you're probably looking at $400-500. Then, if you had it CLA'd by DAG you're looking at $300. Then, if you had Shintaro repaint it, thats another $500. So now you're looking at over $1300. Granted, he didn't say if it has had a DAG/Shintaro treatment, but you can see how much you'd have to put into the camera in order to have a recently CLA'd green Leica. I don't think the price is that bad, if it was all done by reputable guys like Shintaro and DAG, and not just a homemade paint job with a $75 CLA by the local camera tech.

If it was this one then someone would be interested. No one buys repainted cameras, not even FSU ones (we paint those ourselves 😀 ).

SOMEbody will likely see that and consider it a cool camera in a cool color at the right price, and snap it up. Won't be me though. 🙂

Color looks the same as something the cat threw up the other day. And being the only man in the house, I had to clean up afterwards.

Needless to say, I don't find olive green the most appealing colour..

On a related note, anyone interested in a half digested frog?

Unfortunate combination of unattractive paint/colour and too high a price point might explain the lack of buyers.

The black vulcanite on green spoils the look for me but cameraleather have a nice pale green goatskin that would really make that camera alot nicer.

Expensive and military look, ugly IMHO, but as we say in spanish "para gustos se hicieron los colores" , sorry I don´t know how to translate it
