Other Areas A Junior Magnum Club?

Just a thought. Anyone heard of something like a Junior Magnum Club?

I'm sure that of the majority of us here, we wouldn't make it into the Magnum Club, so how about a Junior Magnum? For all those who enjoy photography and want to contribute to the recording of history in our areas?

Any thoughts? Is there already something like this in place?

Instead of trying to hang off of Magnum's coat tails why not form your own agency.

I don't recall that being the goal of this site, but it would surely be nice as we have just about every photo niche filled here.

Not really thinking of living off the Magnum thing, it's just that their ideals, as I know of them, are what I would have in mind, but for all the photographers that would never be admitted to Magnum.

On another note, I *think* magnum has some sort of young photographers program. I am willing to bet that if you contact them with your idea they will tell you more about it.

No offence but why would Magnum lower their name's recognition by sponsoring a group that as you say would never make it into magnum? It would muddy their long won and fought over Magnum=Quality brand image.
