Hello all,

I started a photo blog recently that I call "Shooting on the Fly". The description is as follows:

On my commute I always carry one of my cameras. These photos were taken while commuting, using a variety of my cameras (some old, some new, some shiny and expensive, some cheap and crappy). Be it by bus, train, car or walking along the street, mostly in San Francisco or the East Bay, these are shots taken from the hip, quickly but carefully composed, or somewhere in between----but all taken on the fly....

Although it will not be all images with rangefinders many will be, and I'll be posting images from the past in addition to recent ones along the way as I shoot them.

Just thought I'd share it with you all. Please take a look when you have a moment. Comments always welcomed.

Blog is found here:

Thanks for the comment Allan. Where and what is the Community Blog?

sockdaddy - see my sig.

It's just a collection of blogs from folks on RFF. I use the RSS/Atom feeds from those blogs to collect posts in the single blog. Doesn't always work, but it does most of the time.

Hi Richard, very nice shots. Evocative and moody......you did break almost all of the "RULES".....good job. Under the banner of "you showed me yours now I'll show you mine".....my photoblog is www.photoday.blogspot.com please have a look, and tell two friends. Thanks, Jim.

Jim,
Also very nice work. Makes my blog look terrible in comparison.

Added to the community blog, but your photos don't show up. Oh well. So goes blogspot.

Rich,

Nice job. Nice perspectives on some very familiar locations. I like the idea as well.

Thanks for checking out my blog, and for the nice comments.

Terrance, love your Cambodia images. Spent a wonderful 2 weeks there myself back in '93, when I think I was one of very few tourists back then.....

Hi Rich, it's not a contest, your pictures are yours and how you see and mine are mine, not better or worse, just different. just keep shooting and seeing. Thanks, Jim.

Very nice work Rich. Some of those shots are so familiar to me as I work & live in SF as well.

I'd also like to share my photoblog with everyone.

I use a variety of rangefinders (Minolta 7sii, Vivitar 35ES, Canonet 28, Canonet Q17, Oly XA), and a Canon 20d.
