There are a lot of leather camera straps that aren't particularly well-finished and cost too much for what they are. I've been looking for a successor to Tipton & Co. ever since they went out of business, and I finally found one.
MHaccoutrements on etsy makes a modestly priced strap ($45) that just barely makes it into the category that I'd call "nicely finished." The edges are rounded and burnished (not left raw), and the ends are stitched with linen thread rather than riveted. It's not as refined as JnK/Arte di Mano, but it's not over $100 either.
