Critiques are welcome.

I like them, but I think you may benefit from a faster lens if this is the type of photos you take often. good work.

Splendid colors ! I like them a lot, too. One question that I have, when you push the film two stops, did you ask for special developing (time compensation / elevated temperature) or just normal development ?

Cheers,

Gabor

Nice shots. The colors in #2 are really messed up though... What happened there?

It looks to me like the cast is from the mercury (????) street light.

I know that Provia is not very forgiving in available light. However, this makes the color casts in #6 and #7 work, with the play of the incandescent light in the foreground and the fluorescent light in the background.

#8 is really the only one where the color cast does not look right.

Thanks everyone.

krosya - a faster (f1.5) lens is in the works! The 35mm Nokton f1.2 would be ideal for me but that's out of my price range at the moment. I like the work you've done with that lens. :)

maddoc - I asked my photo shop to push 2 stops. I have no idea what they did to achieve that.

dfoo - it was the street light.

dmr - your absolutely right that provia is unforgiving in low light. I was lucky to get this many ok shots without a meter. I've only shot one other roll of this film and it was with a Hexar AF. I didn't really compensate for the strong back lighting on that first roll and I ended up with 2-3 usable pictures. :( When exposed correctly, I don't believe any other color film comes close when pushed to 1600.
