OK, here's the deal. I won a Kodak Retinette on that well known auction site last week and it was delivered today. And what a little beauty she is. This isn't a rangefinder, it is a zone focus viewfinder. I believe it is the first model of the non folding Retinettes. The shutter fires well at all speeds. I think this will be one of my favourite 35's.
My question is about an attachment that turns it into a kind of rangefinder. I am watching one on that auction site at the moment and I am wondering if it would be worth getting. I would use it on the Retinette and my Mamiya 35S2 and if I get the shutter fixed, my Vito B as well.
Here is the auction I am watching. There has been only one person who has bid on this item. If it is one of the emembers here, I will not bid on it, but if it is someone else, then get out of my way....LOL
So would it be a good idea to get this doodad? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Well, if it stays on that price, absolutely
Guess focusing works great but this little thingie may come handy when you need some critical focusing accuracy, shooting at wide apertures ie.

Thanks Taffer. That is exactly what I wanted to hear. I have made a bid and at the moment it is at $6.35.
