Shot with my Texas Leica (Fuji GW690 II) in Snoqualamie Falls, Washington a few weeks ago.

I bought the GSW690 earlier this year. I'm happy with it except it is a bit fiddly to change the film - and the weight is a bit much to hike with.
In your photo, what are they doing to the falls?
 
I believe they are rebuilding the paths to the falls. There are trails that take you down to the river where they pour into but they were closed when I visited. Very nice place to see if one is in the Seattle area. Less than an hour's drive to the falls from downtown Seattle. I agree with the camera being on the heavy side to go hiking with. I was on camera overkill mode when I was there. Had the GW, a Leica R8, and a Holga 3D camera in the back pack to lug around, plus 2 more in my messenger bag. Luckily, I had a pack mule ( the significant other ) to carry it all for me while I played photographer and got funny looks from the dSlr tourist mobs.
 
Ha, I recognized that water fall before reading your description. I'm still trying to figure out how to get a shot of it that really captures it. I'll have to head up there with a 4x5 some time once the path to the base of the fall is usable again (and once I'm ready to haul the camera and tripod that far).

I've seen a few snapshots of the falls during a huge rain storm where it had to have been near capacity. Really amazing stuff.
 
You guys have sharp eyes! That's Snoqualamie Falls Lodge. Twin Peaks was indeed shot in this area around the town of Snoqualamie, just down the road a bit. And FWIW Northern Exposure was filmed in part about 50 miles further east.
 
Omg you guys are so right, I totally misnamed it! I keep thinking Issaquah because that's where I was staying and the falls to me seemed so close to the issaquah highlands. Now im going to have to watch twin peaks. I've heard its an odd show.
I like the idea of shooting the falls on 4x5. Oh how my poor pack mule would complain. Haha
 
It's funny about spouses carrying big cameras. On my recent trip to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks with the big Fuji, my wife offered to carry the camera every now and then to give my neck and shoulders a break. Only when she had the camera did people stop and ask about it. I guess it looked even bigger and stranger on her (5'2") than on me (5'11''). Everyone who asked, had developed their own stuff in the past, but had switched to digital. Of course, they all asked "can you still get film for it?"
 
I totally got the Twin Peaks feel from this shot too on first glance. Fun to find out that it really is! Great little shot of a beautiful area. Cheers!

They widened the mouth to the falls and dropped the lip a few feet to reduce flooding in the upper valley. Trouble is it increased flooding to the farms in the lower valley. Lower valley has had 3 of the 5 worst floods in history since construction began.

So much for government help.
