A REALLY bad fake!

An obvious Zorki 4 if I am not mistaken. "German" lenscap and Swedish three crowns and British khaki. How international.

Is that a f2 Jupiter 8 on the front too? That's now "f2.8"? Seems like a backwards step.

it does look like a zorki !! good catch, it made me laugh too, might be a Mir though I 'm not a specialist

Are you guys telling me that isn't a Leica IV Prototype!!!

I guess it's possible that Leica made copies of the Zorki-4 and called it a Leica IV. Imitation being the most sincere form of flattery and all. :D

It's actually a late Zorki-4 as indicated by the flat area around the range/viewfinder window and the 1/1000 shutter speed being marked. The MIR may have 1/1000 but it's marked by a simple dot. The MIR also doesn't go below 1/30th of a second and this one has 1 full second marked on the left side of the scale.

I'm often amazed by the apparent skill of the people who fake these cameras. They could do better, IMO, by doing an honest CLA and offering good repair services such as done by Oleg. The market for such services must be pretty good judging from the number of FSU cameras being sold.
