Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to share a special photo that I took of my new wife, as a photographer the sentiment of having someone else shoot the photos on the most important day of your life is an odd one.
Since getting engaged I had always wanted to take a picture of my wife walking down the aisle to me, I spend a lot of my time photographing her, be it at home on holiday or just out and about, this would be the last picture I would ever take of her as just my girlfriend and the last moment before I was a married man.
When it came to it, I was so nervous I dont even remember taking it, setting exposure or even focussing.
All I remember is that my brother handed me my trusty M6 and I took one single frame, I was convinced it wouldn't even come out.
Today I got to see that frame, and while its not the best picture in the world, its one that means a lot to me and I felt like sharing it. apologies if this is in the wrong part of the forum, wasn't sure where it would fit in.

If it is special to you, that is what counts. But I think it is a good one, all the more important because you took it.
When I got married, I had the same experience. I brought a P&S camera and handed it to an office co-worker, for whose wedding I had been the photographer. She hadn't expected it, but she did a bang up job. A professional would no doubt have taken more, but none better. Looks like the same in your case.
Congratulations on your new marriage!

I was thinking the same thing haha!
I photographed a lot of our wedding, letting a photographer acquaintance take the shots of both of us. I was so glad I decided to take my Yashica 124G loaded with Acros when I saw the results
My wife took my avatar picture that day.

Congrats! You do have an unique prospective, for sure. Be good to and treat her right, otherwise, her father, Don Pasquale will bust your knees
It sooo nice to see joy and happiness in her smile and demeanor!
Happy Days, and as we used to say on the old days, lots of beautiful children!!!
Cheers,
Giorgio

I like your photo very much. I can see a genuine connection, one that I feel is almost always missing from paid photographs.I just wanted to share a special photo that I took of my new wife, as a photographer the sentiment of having someone else shoot the photos on the most important day of your life is an odd one.
Love the gangster look of her dad, too!
