i went out shooting and discovered that half of my settings had changed on one of my xe1 bodies…the other was fine, no changes.
i always have them set identically.

- What was changed?
- Did you become a better photographer?

Changed one and got distracted before changing the other?

joe--the bag trolls are active! Since you change bags SO often--who knows what lurks in the various folds and flaps? I'd exercise caution...

I have the same issue with an x100s.
I keep it in an old tripod head bag in the side panel of the door of my car...half the time I get it out, the on switch is on or some setting is different... I blame it on the bag, but I think the photo gods are having their way with me...

the auto iso was changed to 200…and i can't remember what else was changed…but it 2 other settings iirc...
maybe it turned on in the bag and somehow the menu button was hit…seems unlikely but then people butt dial numbers on their phones...

Could you have bumped one of the custom settings button? I've done that.

did you leave the battery out of the camera overnight or for a period of time? Sometimes the internal battery can run flat and you lose your settings. Happens with all digitals.

I've had similar experiences with both the X100 and Xpro, the on/off switch is so easily turned, especially with a soft release attached.
I figure the few times it's happened, the camera was still on and a moving bag was responsible for some goofy settings.
I've been making a habit of checking my settings before going out.
