A7 with collapsible lens

It was not recommended on the Ricoh gxr w/ m mount module. It is due to possibility of collapsing into the sensor. I have heard of people using collapsibles, but limiting the collapse by using something like an ugly fat rubber band or plastic tie, so it can never collapse all the way.

I would take some careful measurements before u even think about trying it.

Personnelly I would not try it myself.

Thanks Gary. I do have a Voightlander 40mm SC I'll just stick with that. Leave the collapsible on the M4.

Collapsible lenses?

Collapsible lenses?

Collapsible lenses? Never heard of that...

Oh - So much to learn... :)

I just got an a7 and can confirm that the following collapsible lenses work just fine, fully-collapsed, with the CV Leica M to Sony E mount adapter:

• Leica 90mm Elmar
• CV 50mm/2 Heliar classic
• CV 50mm/3.5 101 Heliar (LTM, pictured below)
