Has anyone mounted an older Nikkor 50/1.4 LTM on the A7ii,
or any of its sisters? If so, does the a7 permit focusing through
the entire focal range of the lens? On a Leica, the focusing cam
disengages at around 1m but the lens in theory focuses a good
deal closer than that. Does the a7 body take advantage of that?
Also, suggestions on a converter/mount for the lens would be much
appreciated.

Yes. Voigtlander adapter.
Many thanks for the reply. I understand that Voigtlander makes
a close-focusing adaptor. But is it required to use the full focal
range of the old 50/1.4 Nikkor sonnars in LTM on the Sony a7ii?
Or would the Voigtlander mount, combined with the close-focus
Nikkor, permit ultra-close-focusing?

Here's a shot I took with said lens on my NEX 7.
It's a sewing machine foot.
I use a Fotodiox adapter on my NEX.

this is Contax RF + Amedeo + Hawks CF M adapter (which has it's own helicoid to all close shots with any M)
Results should vary only as copies vary. Your LTM will be lighter since you don't need the amedeo.
These are on the A7r but you can expect good results on any A7 variant. Obviously this is not true with every RF lens.

Either adaptor will enable the use of the full focus range. To learn why, research flange distance. The close focus adaptor will enable even closer focus than the rigid version.
