Anyone else discover this site yet? I just bought 3 Andre Kertesz titles used for a grand total of $23 including shipping. One of the books was $6.
I bought: On Reading, Washington Square and Americana. Granted iin used condition but who cares. I can't wait to get them!! My ultimate goal is to get a copy of every one of his books.

One of the books says it has water damage, but I took a chance. As long as I can see the photos Im happy. Otherwise the book is quite pricey and I couldnt afford it, so Im taking a chance on it.

I have bought lots from Abe's. It's actually a network of used book dealers from around the world. Abe's isn't like Amazon, selling their own inventory. It's really great for collectible books, hard to find books, first editions, etc. I have nothing but praise for them. Sometimes it's just a treat to browse through search listings of exotic books. Try searching for something like "Author: Darwin; Keyword: Species", for example. Now, if you think collecting cameras is expensive...:D:cool::D

I just got my email confirmation. One of the books, On Reading, is coming from a bookshop in Maine. On their website it states they are an appointment only bookstore .

"Our inventory is stored for" optimal preservation. Requests to view particular books are gladly accommodated.

Sounds like an interesting place. http://www.eureka4books.com/contact.html

It is my first source for books. You can usually buy used in great condition for a fraction of the price. For research you can often buy rare, out of print books for very cheap - not worth the hassle of using the rare book library when you can buy the book for very little money!

Book gas is much cheaper than camera gas...but feels the same :)

A good source but pay attention to the ratings; like ebay some sellers are better than others. Also, learn the ratings of the books and the jackets.
