Hi, I see recommended size for avatars is below 10Kb... Is that correct? How can I make such a small image?

Use the "save for web" function in Photoshop. (Or similar function in your favorite photo software.)

I got the small file the way you told me: it's 9,8 Kb and its longest side is 125 pixels... When I select the image from my computer, the avatar is placed in the RFF page's small window, so it's OK until there, but when I click save changes, the message is upload of file failed...
