I am in the process of returning an adapter I found on eBay to adapt Contax RF lenses to Leica 39 mm thread mount. It only focuses with 50 mm lenses and doesn't screw in fully to a Leica IIIa body I recently purchased. I would like to be able to adapt the Zeiss lenses I have for Contax to Leica thread mount. Adorama has a Kipon adapter--does anyone have experience with it? Does it fit well and focus lenses reasonably accurately? Any other suggestions are welcome.
Which one are you returning? I have had an Amedeo adapter in the past, worked great. Not sure if he is still producing the LTM version or not.

Is it one of the cheap Russian ones? I have one for non-50 lenses and it makes the lens focus over infinity. "Tested by skilled masters". I can't justify to buy the Kipon or other more expensive ones since I mainly just do it for fun to use Contax mount lenses on LTM bodies.

I've asked several times and he said they are a problem to make.

I would get one Amedeo adapter and go with the best.

If he makes more I want one, but each time I asked he said they were a problem to make. I had one of his originals a long time ago and gave it to Brian Sweeney since I didn't need it.

It is a brand X Chinese one and it doesn't work at all. If I could find an Amadeo version I would probably spring for one since it would still be cheaper than replacing the Zeiss lenses that I already have in Contax mount
