(I recently posted this in the wrong channel)

I just recently bought an M9 and want to shoot with a flash, handheld off-camera. I also want to be able to keep an accessory viewfinders on the body (cold-shoe on top of accessory). On my M6 and M3 I could connect directly to the camera's PC port, but obviously now I need a hot-shoe attachment. This would be manual mode, not TTL.

I have a new off-brand speedlight flash (with PC port). But when I tried connecting it with a PC cable to the hotshoe attachment I have (with PC port) the cable is loose and just falls out. PC male-to-male cables are actually not that common so I'm not sure what people use. Is there another type of cable to use?

Would one of these work (without TTL), even though it's for Nikon?

Or should I buy this and try another PC cable?

I'm no flash expert. Advice on a good setup is appreciated!
