Hi guys,
I've shot most of a roll of FP4+ (a 120 roll on the back a folding butcher cameo) trying to take star trails...
Now, I didn't do enough research before I shot it, so I mostly guessed and left the aperture wide open (f6.3) and the focus on infinity thinking more light was better but I've since seen advice to use aperture anywhere between 11 and 22...
Some of the shots were open for 2 minutes, another for a couple of hours. They were taken in rural france in the dead of night with no house lights anywhere to be seen and the moon was below the horizon, but there was a haze on the horizon from a small town about 25 miles away the other side of a hill.. so they *might* be ok...
According to the advices of others I may well have thoroughly overexposed these images given that the aperture was wider open than it should be.
the only developer I have available is rodinal.
My question is, would anyone advise I do anything specific with development? I'm thinking just develop it at 125 with the rodinal nice and weak (like 1+100) for the sake of grain, and hope there's enough latitude to correct in scanning. Would I be better pull processing it a half a stop or so?
