AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm 1:4-5.6G ED DX lens w/ VR

Question: I have this LN lens with hood that has never been used. Will this lens work with a Nikkormat FTn stopped down? Or any other film Nikon camera?

It just occurred to me that it was taking up room in my bag and if I can use it, then I will, but if it requires the DX cameras, maybe I should sell it and apply the proceeds toward something else. Like a Leica III from Youxin...

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.:angel:

If you like taking extremely heavily vignetted photos (think circular fisheye) at F22, then it will work great on a Nikkormat. In all honesty though, I wouldn't even use it on a DX camera, it's a mediocre lens at best.
