Craigslist says it can't happen but 10 or 15 minutes after spending, say, 20

minutes, on Craigslist my computer always crashes... Does this happen to

anyone else here?
 
hey bob, that's never happened to me and I frequent the list often.
I hope you get things straightened out!

bob - what system/browser are you running?

Craiglist is a pretty barebones site, but does rely on some cookie work - nothing really taxing to most systems, I can't think of what would be causing the problems on your machine.
 
Make sure you have a firewall between your Windows powered machine and the Net. A decent router with it's own IP address will work wonders because the hackers will then try to attack it instead of your computer.

It must be in shock over the high prices many of the people are asking..

Sorry...couldn't resist..

I spend a lot of time on craigslist and haven't had this problem but then I use a Mac.
 
Something like this happened to me. It appeared to have been caused concurrent to a visit to www.photopermit.org. After running McAfee virus scan, and Spybot Search & destroy, it appeared that I just had picked up a trojan which activated when I went to the site.

Run a good virus check, whatever spyware search utitly you have, and try again. I'm also getting to Craig's List without incident.
 
the situation reminds me of the time I went to the doctor to tell him that it hurt when I bent my arm way back.. he told me to stop bending it back like that and I've been fine ever since ;)
