Agfa-Gevaert to shut analogue plate factory in Italy, 121 redundancies

BRUSSELS (AFX) - Belgian imaging technology group Agfa-Gevaert NV said it will close its Lastra analogue plate factory in Sulmona, Italy.
The group said the closure was a result of the declining demand for analogue offset photographic plates and the rapid conversion to digital plate systems.
The factory workload will be transferred to Lastra's site in Manerbio, Italy. A redundancy plan will be developed for the 121 people affected by the closure.
