Hi,
I was thinking about purchasing a couple of lenses from alex-photo and was wondering whether there is any sort of combined shipping arrangement? For lenses the shipping price seems to be a standard $15... Does that double if I buy two lenses???
I have a nice Kiev and am sick of 50mm (for now) AND have a serious case of GAS... I thought that I'd just hit the 'buy it now' button until I'm better...
Any help from people who have bought from this seller before is appreciated!!!

Alex Photo is good to deal with. He probably will give you a break on shipping if you order more than one item. Ask him before you hit the buy-it-now button. Shipping from Ukraine only takes about a week.

I don't know anything about combining shipping costs, but I can say that Alex-Photo offers good stuff and his shipping is very fast.. I've gotten stuff from him (in the Ukraine) faster than from a few people who live less than a couple hundred miles from me

Hi,
I have had several things from him and as long as the total weight is less then 2 Kgs (about 4lbs), he has been happy to combine shipping. The reason for the weight limit is that this is the limit on "small packet airmail" I didn't contact him before and he didn't need prompting to offer the reduction. A good guy to deal with.

Don't worry about it. Just don't pay him until you finish shopping with him. You can still browse his items now and click "buy it now" on other ones. Then, when you're finished, drop him an e-mail and let him know you want everything sent together. He'll not charge significantly more for combined shipping than for the shipping of a single item.physiognomy said:

BTW,
It is worth looking in his "shop" listings as well. He normally has a good range of caps, hoods and other bits at a good price as long as you can get them sent with something else otherwise the shipping puts the price up. If you need filters, he often has quite a good selection of 40.5mm and other filters at good prices. He will normally let you know if you email him.

thumbs up for alex-photo. I bought a square hood from him, together with some caps and kiev shutter ribbon; he combined the shipping. AND he changed the square hood to round one when I realized the front of the jupiters/sonnars are rotating and mailed him if it's possible to change it. Took a week to get to the Netherlands, approximately.
