This post got virtually no response here on RFF, yet this is one of the greatest things to go online in history.

Pretty good proof that there are more doofus gear geeks here than people really interested in photography.

First thing I searched was "Country Doctor" By W. Eugen Smith.
Ive been trying to find an actual copy of the magazine with these photos.
Anyone know any leads?

Well, few of the photos were taken with ASPH lenses. Just think how much better they'd be if the photographers used ASPH lenses. It's too bad the photos aren't tagged with the camera, lens, and film used so I could copy them. ;)

Thanks Bill for posting the link. I checked out baseball first.

I picked up a copy of Life that had a picture of my dad (during the Korean War) in it...
Now I get to find it online...

Thanks (from a photographer not a gear-geek) :D

I see the business model here is to sell prints of the online images. But why couldn't I just download them and print them myself? Is the assumption that most people don't have high enough quality printers to do that?

It's free for personal and research uses. If you want to get copyright you have to go through Time Inc.
