Allendale NJ NOCTILUX SERVICE AWESOME!!!!!

Well I have to say I am totally blown away by how well Leica has handled my Noctilux repair. About 3 months ago I posted a thread on a Noctilux that I bought on Ebay for my M8 and how it needed an adjustment in that it was off in its focusing, way way off. The lens was under warranty for a repair the seller had done before he sold it to me. I made arrangements with him and Leica to have the lens serviced. I provided a letter to Leica stating what was wrong (Lens will not focus correctly, elements may not be in correct position) and that when they adjust it, it should be for the M8 (I gave them my serial number, but I did not send the lens and camera, only the lens). They sent me letters as to the progress of the repair. They had it for almost 2 months. It had to go to Germany. I received it last Monday, my birthday!!!, and this thing was spot on with the M8. No focus issues at all! No back focus issues AT ALL, SHARP AS HELL for f1.0, Beautiful tones, "KNOCK MY SOCKS OFF" etc,,,.

So the folks at Allendale NJ did very well for me, and this is the second time for a lens / M8 issue. I was very nice to them on the phone, and very patient with them, and they rewarded me with a perfect repair, and a perfect job with a lens like this is not childs play, but a serious and exact thing. So here's to you Leica, and the people at Allendale NJ. Job very well done!!!!

I will post some pics soon when I format them for RFF, they will not dissapoint any of you on this forum, and may induce severe NOCTILUST DISEASE!!!

Did they tell you what was wrong with the lens or what exactly they have done to fix it?
I am curious what could go wrong in a Noctilux
