So I am about to run out of my 80s (35mm), I like the images I get but quality control leaves much to be desired. What would be a good slow (asa 50-100) film to replace it? I do like the extended red sensitivity A LOT, as I do a lot of landscapes. I occasionally use it for "street" shots. I almost always use a yellow or orange filter. How does Ilford Pan F compare? FP4? Bonus points if it is available in bulk rolls.

By far the best alternative is Adox HR-50 / Adox Scala 50:
- the spectral sensivity is about identical
- resolution, sharpness, fineness of grain are about identical
- HR-50 / Scala 50 have better shadow detail and a more linear (less S-shaped) characteristic curve (= better tonality)
- Adox is an honest company (Maco / Rollei-Film unfortunately not; they are fooling their customers in lots of different ways).

I've stopped using Retro 80S and have switched to Adox HR-50. Adox is the better deal. With Adox HR-Dev they also offer an excellent developer for this film.
