Strictly speaking this is not a m4/3 thread at all since the trip was shot with a film camera 12 yrs, ago. It was later digitised with a 4/3 camera, and anyway what matters is that I appreciate the creativity and taste of the users of this forum.

It is also an essay in mixing text and pictures to a higher integration, a project that I am sharing with a fellow photog.

I hope you enjoy, and let me know whatever :)

Thank you! One of the questions I ask myself today, is if my E-M5 would stand well the extreme conditions, of if I'd opt again for a film mechanical SLR.

Certainly having Live Time, i.e. bulb, would open a whole new range of possibilities.
Second part to come soon.

I would take digital and film equipment with me in such unique settings. Especially MF would bring out the details.

Are you familiar with the desert environment? I was acting on the principle that what isn't there doesn't break . The vibrations in a 2000 km. off road are devastating, but Praktica was known for sturdiness. And of course it is a MF camera, maxing at 1/1000, so difficult to avoid f/16 and stay there :)
Also some were better than me, but my point is the story *and* the images.
Cheers!
