An Ode to New Jersey

This is my flawed attempt at capturing a sample of New Jersey this spring. New Jersey is a pretty unique state with incredibly wealthy, tranquil areas like Princeton, and more desperate and violent places, like some parts of Camden, Newark, all this within an hours drive from my parents' house. I tried to get a little of everything. Feel free to say if an image doesn't work for you, or if you feel like the series needs captions/location information to work

Well done, in an art house sort of way. New Jersey has always been sort of mystical for me, as I've never been there. Lots of songs, stories, and photos over the years have informed me of the realities of the place. Oh, and one ex-girlfriend. No, make that two.

I really enjoyed your ode, Jon. Plenty of strong and interesting content, and I like some of your compositions very much.

As a set, I feel they would hold together better with the same treatment. Personally, I don't see where the color adds much and would try BW and the same border treatment on all of them. But I know that's personal.

We all tend to look for dramatic images, but I think you've managed to convey significance with very ordinary scenes. Seems to me that's what street photography is all about, and you've done it well.
