Kevin German, a good friend of mine and freelance photojournalist is working on a project in Vietnam at a Mental Hospital. The situations are dire to say the least and patients barely get the nourishment or assistance required to keep them healthy; mentally and physically.
This Christmas as we think about the economy, the new presidency, iPods, iPhones, TV's, and all other things of temporary consumption and experience I would like to invite you to make a donation to a Mental Hospital in Vietnam.
If not for the hosptital or some abstract concept of others in foreign country, then please for Kevin German who has given so much to the photo community answering questions and maintaining his blog. Kevin's blog goes back 18 months and chronicles his journey from a job at the Sacramento Bee to freelance in Vietnam.
Thank you and Happy Holidays.

P.S. Recently Kevin was convinced that a Leica M6 belongs in his bag, and considering how his main camera a 5D is on it's death bed, I'd say it's about time.
