With the closing and cutting back of camera stores it is getting harder and harder to find one still open let alone growing and expanding. I found one just this week. I have to go to Shreveport, La. about once or twice a month to the VA hospital and I always have some time to kill after the appointment. I checked the internet for camera shops there and was surprised to find one with three locations.
www.deesphoto.com
When I walked in it was like dieing and going to heaven, Rows and rows of cameras and lenses, walls of bags and tripods, a display of lighting equipment and 12' of film shelves. Pinch me I must be dreaming.
They are a full time full service camera store that has been in business for 60 years. It sure was refreshing to talk to someone who actually knew what they were talking about. When I asked for 120 roll film she said "Color or B&W" They have Kodak and Ilford chemicals and will develop your B&W for you. They will also rent equipment and will even rent their darkroom by the hour. They do real prints up to 20x30 both color and B&W
Please check them out and use their services if feasible. They will take in photos by email for enlargements and do high quality scans. They had some very large prints and the quality was awesome.
If they have anything you need or want I would be glad to get it for a RFF member. They also repair all types of cameras.
I bought 5 rolls of 120 and 5 rolls of Fuji Neopan and a few rolls of Ilford FP4+ and some Ilfotec developer.

Nice find. Sounds as if you'll now be finding additional reasons to head up to Shreveport!

Do they have a website - I'm sure a couple of folks here would be interested in what's on their used equipment shelves - you know, some kind of GAS relief medicines> ;-)
