Did anyone tested a Angle Finder with
the Epson R-D1. Im interested for a Nikon DR3
Finder. This must fit one the R-D1 but what can i see
? Is it possible to see all framelines or is a Angle
Finder nothing for a Rangefinder Camera ?
So i hope you understand i do NOT mean
an externel angle finder. All Finder equipment
for the nikon fe / fm camera will fit on the r-D1
internal finder so what about the functions of
the Nikon DR3 on the Epson ?

Well...the R-D1 finder is pretty heavenly as it is, without the help of an angel.
Seriously, though - think I did read something about a Nikon finder working, but I never acquired one. And as of last week I am R-D1-less for the first time since 2005.

Well. I´m pretty sure that the diopters for the R-D1 fit Nikon F3HP/4/5/6 and D1/2/3 and probably D700´s as well. The DR3 right angle finder will as such not fit the R-D1 without the DK-7 adapter. The R-D1 has a 22mm finder, the DR-3 is a 19mm fit. The DK-7 remedies that.

Hallo Micheal,
I have a matching angle-finder for the RD1 and I`m living in Munich. So if you want to test it on your gear send me a PM.
I´m using this finder with a Fuji GW690 now and there it make a sense. A small and light rangefinder like the RD1 is mobile enough to be used in any capturing positions of the photographer.
Cheers George
