Annoyed....

First chance in weeks this weekend to get out and about; I have to go into town tomorrow, was looking forward to taking some shots - and the weather's crap. Seriously wet and windy, and going to stay like that for most of the weekend.

So much for "Sunny Australia".... :bang:

actually, I shouldn't complain too much - we need the rain desperately, and the weather's been great for weeks....it's just bad timing.....

Wet and windy weather creates some good shooting opportunities! I actually prefer it to just sunny weather all the time.

true - but this is wet and windy enough to not want to go out. It's pretty seriously unpleasant.

i need a nikonos....

i know the feeling tim.

if it's 'warm' enough to go out without freezing in minutes then the light is bad.
if the light is ok then you feeze to death in seconds.

yes, it can be done but it's so very unpleasant.

Tim,
Up here on the NW USA side of the Pacific, we've got the same. It's very windy and rainy (normal for this time of year). I carry an RF in a neopreme "Zing" case that's somewhat rain resistant and keep a plastic trash bag in my pocket just in case.

I'd agree with Remy; it may be uncomfortable, but there's the opportunity for some "adventurous" photography!

I learned when I lived in the Pacific NW that if I waited for it to dry out, I'd be waiting a really long time. :)

Rainy days make for original shots. I've seen some Chicago photos in which the asphalt glistens like never before... thanks to the rain.

But I'm too chicken to go out when it rains! :(
