I managed to win a fairly nice looking (at least in the pictures) GTN last week. It is located in Jolly Old England so I imagine it will be a little while before it actually shows up on my doorstep.
I'm very excited as now the GSN will have a sibling just like the GS and the GT!
Also need to finish up the roll I started in the MG-1 - I want to see if she needs any more corrections!

Well JoeFriday, you were right! My GTN arrived from England yesterday - just a little over a week.
It's a user, brassing around the edges, bottom plate scuffed, battery cover slot a little chewed up BUT it cleaned up really nice. The glass is clean, shutter fires, focusing seems all right and the lights work. The lens does seem to have a litttle play in the mount and the rf glass could use a little cleaning. Time to load it up and take a test drive!

I like Yashica a lot. I have 2 - Lynx 14's; 2 - Electro GSN's; 1 - Electro 35 CC. That's it for now except to say I like how the glass works on these cameras. There is some sort of slight warm glow that they seem to impart in indirect light. Quite a few of my shots here were with one of these wonderful and affordable cameras.

Hey Jan! I know what you mean, I have a bad case of "Yashica -itis"
I just can't seem to turn one of these down!
I have limited myself to the Electro series with a GS, GT, GSN, GTN, MG-1 and the 35 CC. All of these cameras are quite capable of taking far better pictures than this "photographer's"
feeble attempts. I just happen to think that the Yashica is an often overlooked camera that is "poo-pooed" because of it's lack of manual capability.

I agree the Electro series is way underrated! I wanted a manual camera as well, so am currently using a 5000e. Its fully manual with light-up displays for the meter. The glass is just as good as the electro series from what Ive seen.
Here is one recent pic from the 5000e.

Wow pesphoto, nice shot!
If that is representative of the results that you get out of the 5000e, I'd say you've got a winner!!

The 14e is gone and the 35W is spoken for, but there's others to treat your case of Yashica-itis. There is no cure, only treatment.

MR Ranger,
I love the GSN too, but the manula control the 5000e gives me beats it out in my mind
