I bought a J-8 on the boards a few weeks ago, the aperture ring was pretty stiff and I had no idea if the focus was calibrated. Sent it off to our own Brian Sweeney and he transformed it. He jim-jammed the doohickey and flimflammed the thingamabob and a week later it was in my hands good as new. Focus is silky smooth and deadly accurate. So for the grand sum of $60 I've got a crazy good lens. Pretty dang sharp wide open, it's got a whole lot of character. I find myself reaching for it instead of my Summitar. I've got a bunch more of the J-8/M3 combo, I just haven't gotten around to uploading them yet.

I have a J8 that has a slightly stiff focus ring. Found Kim Coxons site showing how to dismantle and service it. I couldn't even unscrew it so rather than ruin it completely I just left it as is.
Does anyone know where I can get it serviced I the UK?

Ask Kim nicely...although there may be some delay it'll come back working nicely.
