My autism is relentless and frustrating - nothing , except Leica II and derivatives , or Kiev is real to me ... it's all dreamstate and out of phase ... i can only '' connect '' to Kiev or Leica II [ not Leica IIIc , it's too '' not same ''

Even these drift off my '' vision '' sometimes ...

i was sorting my Kievs , too many bought cheapish from Russian sellers .

i am finding that I am dee stracted by the dual script and the CCCP clutterered accessory shoe ... fixed by 1947 labels and silver paper in the access shoe ...

The Oleg late Kievs 4 and 4m are smooth and easy to use , but lack a certain quality !!!!

My Kievs 2 and 3 have various faults - the Kiev 3 is '' correct '' but the top plate is badly scratched ... my Kievs 2 are dual script or poor condition '' KNeB '' ... etc etc ....my £25 kiev 2a leaks like the proverbial ...
So , I have bought a ridiculously expensive 1951 Kiev 2 , which ticks all my ticks !
it's been , I am told , CLA by an ex- Arsenal person , and is in lovely condition . it also has a lovely patina , worn ''KNeB '' case .

Why did I not do this before ? I have actually asked the seller if my Kiev 3 can be brought up to the same standard - with new top plate ... but I am just gong to write off the other misstakes !

i can't wait .. again !

Hope it works out Dee. I am starting to like my Kiev 4am more and more. Especially since I got a 35mm and 135mm for it. I now have an 85mm on the way. I hope one day to get an Orion 15. I think I understand why everyone talks so much about liking the 35mm. Not that they (or I) really like 35, but anything wider gets rather expensive for most of us. 35mm therefore is the only way to go wide. sigh.
