any coment for Leitz Summaron 3.5cm/3.5

Now i'm hardly to find out the Canon 35/2 and i've seen the Leitz Summaron 35/3.5 How about this lens is cost about 300 USD. in good con' Is it good price? and good lens? any recomment for it Or should i still waiting for Canon 35/2?

any one want to sell canon 35/2 please tell

300 USD is a good price if it is in good condition. It is an excellent lens, beautifully designed and very small.

I'd say to keep the Canon as, even though it may not bear the "magic" name, it is a much better lens in this case. That price is good for a Summaron (to my memory, at least...), but the lens itself is not going to beat even a decent copy of the Canon 35/2 lens.

I don't know about the price or how it compares to the Canon lens but I use one and agree with Richards comments. The only caveat is to be aware of haze in older lenses.

It is an excellent lens, well able to hold its own, especially in low contrast situations. I have some comparative shots to the Summicron 35 asph in this thread.

It's a cute little lens that produces nice "old school" pictures. I have a Jupiter 12that outperforms it easily. But it looks good on an old Barnack. I think the price is too high, I found my on the bay for 130USD, with bubble and in a very clean condition. I was very lucky though, the ad said something like "leica lens"...
