I am looking for ISO400 film that is easy to scan, just like ektar 100. Actually I wish there was an ektar 400 :p I also want the color to be vivid. And it's better that I can still purchase them new. Optionally, I hope I dont have to compensate when doing long exposure.

Any feedback welcome!

I have nothing against the Fuji Superia ISO 400. I don't know how it stacks up against the Portra (which I also like), but it's widely available... still. That or the Kodak Max.

Digital

None that I've found.

The New Portra 400 for muted colors/portrait ..etc.

Ektar 100 is a wonderful film.

I found the following figure from Kodak website. The new portra kinda sits between the old NC and VC. Ektar is great, except it doesn't have a 400 version :(

I was going to say the old 400UC (still available post-date), but even that film reads portra on the edge. ;-)

This chart is basically nonsense... If you like Ektar more than Portra, just shoot Portra 400 and increase the contrast!

I could not get Ektar by digitally manipulating Portra 400. Perhaps, one of you can and will share your secrets. It isn't a matter of just increasing contrast.
