Hi, I am ready to spring for the RD1/RD1S. Does anyone have a used one they would be willing to part with or can anyone direct me to a vendor selling new RD1/RD1Ss?

Just last week I ordered my R-D1S from Matsuiya Store on eBay. He's selling new R-D1S bodies alone or with a Voigtlander 35mmf/2.5 P II. I've not yet received the camera but can tell you he has extremely good communication and is prompt with replies. I decided to buy from him after reading several glowing reviews for him here and on other RF sites.

Thanks, Mobileexile! I'll certainly bear that in mind. I was hoping to find one for something less than what Matsuiya is charging, but may well have to settle for that. Good luck with your RD1S!

In my search I only found one used R-D1S. It was on eBay and was being sold by a person with little selling history. I wasn't willing to take the chance that:

1. He / she was honest and real.
2. The very expensive camera had been properly taken care of.

Guess I'm conservative in light of all the fraud and theft on eBay.
